Animation gif task

For this task in our lecture, there was a lady sitting in the middle surrounded by seats. We had to sit in each of those seats and draw only what we can see, this enabled to us to have a 360 drawing of a lady.  We then had to scan each of those drawings into the computer and upload them to photoshop, from there we could start to make our animated gif.

Pixilation Task

In this weeks lecture, we got given the task of creating a Pixilation video. We each got given a word that we had to tailor to in a pixilation video, we got given the word ' confrontation '. We got into groups of three and we had to produce ideas for our video. At the beginning of the discussion, our ideas were too complex and we needed a simpler idea. We got our inspiration from this video for our video : Inspiration Video

Moving image that personifies the word ' Strength '

The word that I was given to personify as a moving image was ' Strength '. This video clip of the feature film The Incredible Hulk, clearly personifies the meaning of ' Strength '. Throughout the clip we see the Hulk carrying out actions that communicates to us that he has super strength. The initial appearance of the Hulk indicates to us he has super strength due to his stature, his giant arms, giant chest and shoulders and a six back. Another element of the clip that personifies the word strength is when Hulk picks up two cars in both hands and uses them as make-shift knuckle dusters. As humans, we know that it's pretty impossible to pick one car up, let alone two cars in each hand! This film was created to spark emotion within its audience, it wanted to emotionally engage its audience in order to maintain their interest for the entire film. The majority of the film was created by using professional film cameras, audio and lighting, however, a lot of it was done in post production. Hulk was created by the use of prosthetic make-up, animatronics and then later was touched up by the use of computer generated imagery.

Animated flip book

In my Crafting the Digital Image class, we got told to do a flip book animation as a starter to this course. This task send shivers down my spine because I'm not comfortable drawing this kind of thing. We got given certain words to personify in our flip book animation. I got given the word ' Strength ' to personify. The first idea that came into my head was to do something with weightlifting and that's what I decided to go with, we weren't given sufficient amount of time to come up with a competent idea.  This is my animated video of the word ' Strength '.
